I feel so blessed to have been curated into this installation exhibition by Lisa Lisa Hatchadoorian. It is difficult to create an installation without a space to install it, and this was an amazing opportunity for new work for me. To be able to showcase the environment was a privilege and honor.

WHAT THE EARTH WOULD SAY IF IT FINALLY HAD OUR FULL ATTENTION
“I have been speaking slowly so you would stay.”
“I am older than your wounds. I have carried all of them.”
“Every silence you hear is me healing.”
“I bend. I endure. I ache. I am alive.”
“I remember you before you forgot me.”
“Your grief and mine are not separate.”
“I keep singing even when you cannot hear.”
“What you call emptiness is where I breathe.”
“You came from inside me. You are not apart from me.”
“You walk on my body as if it cannot feel.”
“I take your weight without resentment.”
“Your smallest kindness returns to me a thousandfold.”
“I have been patient for longer than your species has existed.”
“You are brief. I am slow. Let us meet in the middle.”
“I mend myself where you have cut me, but not without cost.”
“I am not infinite.”
“Listen before you lose the ability to hear me.”
“Your comfort costs me.”
“I absorb everything you shed.”
“I hold the dead and grow the living from their bones.”
“I am tired, but I am not done.”
“You are made of my dust. You cannot harm me without harming yourself.”
“I do not punish. I respond.”
“I am not asking for devotion, only recognition.”
“Lean in.”
“Come closer.”
“Notice what I have always been saying.”
“Your breath is not separate from mine.”
“Stay awhile. I have waited.”
